This morning, hop in a tuktuk to explore Bangkok’s hustle and bustle. Zip past temples hidden between modern buildings, local street stalls, canals, and pockets of greenery. Visit the Jim Thompson House, a complex of traditional teak houses filled with art, antiques, and the story of Thailand’s famous silk. Return to the hotel for a short rest and to freshen up.
Meet again to head to the Klong Toei wet market, where you'll pick up ingredients for today's cooking class. Anything and everything is sold at this truly local market that few farang (foreigners) get to see, including live ducks, insects, and snakes! As you walk through the market, you can taste exotic fruits and, if you’re brave enough, sample some of the creepy, crawly delicacies. After the market, master the art of Thai cooking in a class from which part of the proceeds goes to the Klong Toei slums.
Wrap up the day in style at a rooftop bar, taking in 360° panoramic views of Bangkok as the sun sets.
