Don’t fill up at breakfast this morning because we’re going to eat our way through Lisbon’s hottest spots! Explore Mouraria, where the spirit of fado fills the air. Then, head to the Baixa district for stunning views of the Tagus River. The experience ends in Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest, with a private Fado performance that brings the soul of Portugal to life, accompanied by a lunch rich in local flavors.

Afterward, you can return to the hotel with the group or continue exploring Lisbon at your own pace and catch a taxi back.

Today’s all yours to explore at your own pace! Discover Sintra’s hidden gems, like the ancient Moorish Castle, dating back to the 8th century, or the stunning Monserrate Palace, with exotic gardens boasting plants from around the world. Start your day at the Jerónimos Monastery in Belém, admiring its intricate stonework and rich history. Then, hop on a tuk-tuk to explore Belém’s famous riverside landmarks, including the Monument of the Discoveries and the iconic Belém Tower, all while enjoying the scenic riverside views.

Stop for a delicious lunch before visiting one of Lisbon’s last traditional azulejo factories, where artisans still make handcrafted tiles using techniques passed down for generations. Today, we say goodbye to the fairytale town of Sintra and hit the road toward Porto, with a stop in the medieval hilltop town of Óbidos. You’ll have plenty of free time to amble through its photogenic,  flower-draped alleys, do some window shopping, and soak up the atmosphere. Stroll cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses, pop into quirky bookshops and artisan boutiques, and climb the castle walls for sweeping views. Don’t forget to snap a photo in front of the 12th-century fortress — this picturesque town was once a wedding gift to Portuguese queens.

Next, we'll make our way to Porto, the birthplace of the legendary Port wine, where you’ll have the evening free.

Today, we’ll experience the breathtaking Douro Valley wine region in style, famous for its terraced vineyards and world-class wines. Board a private boat for a relaxing cruise along the Douro River and take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous views. Your first stop is a top-notch quinta (estate) where you’ll gain insight into the history of Douro wines and, of course, taste some of them! We’ll have lunch in wine country paired with wines from the estate. Following lunch, we’ll head to another quinta to sample some of Porto’s famous wines, expertly paired with chocolate. We’ll conclude the day with a scenic cruise back to Porto.
