We had a great time and Issy was a very good Trip Leader. We loved the variety of experiences we had which was why we chose the Thailand trip and Itinerary. Day 1 was a bit of a debocile, as no one needed to stop for lunch after the tuk tuk trip or we could have gotten something to eat at the hotel. The Ad Lib Hotel had a sumptuous breakfast, and most trip members ate, shortly before the ride. We basically ate breakfast 3 hours before we sat at a nonessential hotel and waited in the heat for beverages. If this had been properly thought out and discussed with the group; day 1 would have gone smoother. There was one repetitive issue ( such as the situation just mentioned) which kept me from giving this trip a 5 star review. We had an extreme lack of specifics for each day; we needed information more than just a few hours in advance. We would have felt far more comfortable with a 3-day tentative outline provided each day…things like, flight time, aircraft name, flight numbers, anticipated mode and time of travel, etc… free time suggestions were sometime weak, and occasionally plentiful…but always last minute. The initial meeting should have provided far more details, basically we just got the information repeated that we already knew. We could have planned in advance for better ways to spend our free time if we had more details and more suggestions. The vibe in Thailand was definitely “Keep Calm and Be Kind”. It’s was hard to keep calm when it felt like we were not provided with details, that would have led to Less anxiety during the adventure.

I had a fantastic time! Issy is amazing! Globe Drifters has yet to disappoint with their selection of local guides. The itinerary was fun, but what really made the trip unforgettable was having a guide with immense knowledge and love of the land. Seeing all the temples & hearing about their traditions, learning to cook traditional Thai meals, and seeing the beauty of Thailand was an incredible experience that I'm lucky to have had. I LOVED the Reiley Beach resort, the floating lake hotel, & the treehouse in Cheng Mai. Issy added to each journey with her beautiful spirit & unique perspective on what extras she thought we should see/do. Another phenomenal GD trip.

I had a great time. Our guide, Issy, was wonderful. She made the trip. I was happy that I went into Bangkok early so I could see more of it. 1.5 days is just not enough! Railay Beach and the surrounding area was very pretty but the hotel is old and worn. Disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend it. The national park and lake were great. Chiang Mai was wonderful. I enjoyed the sights, and the free time. I could have spent more time there. Our hotel, Smile Lanna, was beautiful. It was nice and close to Old town, which I appreciated but it then took forever to get to other areas, such as the Night Markets, Lady Boy show, the river and the Nimmin area. (And it didn’t have a bar—no alcohol!). The side trip to the Sticky Waterfall and the Treehouse Resort was fun albeit quick! Issy made the visit to the village of the Treehouse Resort very special with a tour and lantern celebration. The trip to Wat Arun was magical and the Farewell dinner was great. I wasn’t impressed with The StandardX hotel. It was just a Hyatt trying to be cool—it missed. I really did enjoy the trip and Issy did make it! I just wasn’t impressed with a few of the hotels. Overall, another successful Globe Drifters vacation! Thanks!!

This was probably the most educational and unique trip I have ever been on. For the most part the food was great, people on the trip were pleasant and friendly. The places we stayed were very accommodating and caring. Very genuine people. I would never have had this experience if it were not for Globe Drifters and our leader, Issy!

For the time I was with the group, it was great. Unfortunately, I was only able to spend the first half of the trip with the group so missed out on the other half.

As an extensive worldwide Traveler with friends, family and frequently solo, I normally make all my own travel plans due to a major mix up with a travel company years ago .This time I did not want the responsibility. I chose Globe Drifters after speaking to Rebecca about my expectations and sharing with her what I am looking for and expected. My expectations were met and exceeded on the May 2025 Jordan trip. This was also the initial Jordan trip and I was very happy with the complete outcome. The fellow group Travelers were kind and interesting and fun. The tour guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable and considerate. The tour leader was a bonus! All accommodations were beautiful and clean, excursions were interesting however you had the opportunity if you did not want to join that day you could go in a different direction which I think is quite thoughtful. I will plan another future trip with Globe Drifters and would highly recommend them
